Expert Installation for Every Flooring Type

Floor Craft’s experienced installation teams specialize in a full range of residential and commercial flooring. We only install prefinished products to ensure consistent quality and manufacturer warranty coverage.

  • Carpet Installation

From plush bedroom carpet to durable commercial carpet tiles, Floor Craft’s carpet installation team handles jobs of every size. We carry a full range of styles including patterned carpet, berber, and budget-friendly options. Most carpet installations are completed in a single day, and our crews handle furniture moving, old carpet removal, and thorough cleanup.

  • Hardwood Floor Installation

Floor Craft installs prefinished solid hardwood and engineered hardwood flooring. We work with a wide variety of species, widths, and finishes to match your vision. Our team handles complete subfloor preparation including leveling and moisture testing to ensure your hardwood floors perform beautifully for decades. Need site-finished hardwood? We’re happy to refer you to a trusted specialist.

  • LVP/LVT & SHEET VINYL

Luxury vinyl plank and luxury vinyl tile are among the most popular flooring choices in Colorado Springs for good reason - they’re waterproof, durable, and available in stunning designs that mimic real wood and stone. Floor Craft’s installers are experienced with all major LVP/LVT brands and handle everything from subfloor leveling to final trim work.
Sheet vinyl is a durable, water-resistant, and budget-friendly flooring option. Floor Craft offers smooth finish on every sheet vinyl project.

  • Tile Installation

Floor Craft’s tile installation expertise covers floor tile, wall tile, backsplash tile, mosaic tile, wainscot, and accent tile for both residential and commercial projects. We work with ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tiles. Our team is experienced with complex layouts and pattern work, and we handle every detail from surface prep to trim and grout.

  • Tile Shower & Bathroom Systems

We install complete tile shower systems including full waterproofing, mud pans, Schluter® Kerdi shower kits, heated floor systems (Schluter® DITRA-HEAT), pre-fabricated niches, benches, shelves, curb caps, zero-entry showers, and tub surrounds. Our team is Schluter® certified and has access to their full product catalog. Whether it’s a simple tub surround refresh or a complex multi-surface bathroom remodel, we handle the entire scope.

  • Laminate Flooring Installation

Laminate flooring offers the look of hardwood at a more accessible price point. Floor Craft installs laminate throughout Colorado Springs homes, handling subfloor prep, underlayment, and precise fitting around obstacles.

Laminate is typically installed as a floating floor, using a click‑lock system that secures planks together without glue. This makes installation clean, and ideal for remodels.

  • Visit Our Showroom or Request an Estimate

Browse our Colorado Springs showroom to see and feel flooring samples in person, or request a free estimate online. No obligation, no pressure.

  • Free In-Home Measurement

A Floor Craft salesperson visits your home at no cost. They’ll measure the space (typically 1–2 hours), recommend products suited to your specific rooms, and even bring samples to see in your home’s lighting. There is zero obligation until you sign off on the estimate.

  • Material Selection & Estimate

Your salesperson drafts a detailed estimate with all pricing. They’ll guide you toward the most cost-effective or most luxurious materials in each category based on your budget and needs. Financing through Synchrony is available with no down payment required.

  • Scheduling & Preparation

Once approved (50% deposit or payment in full for jobs under $2,000), your installation is scheduled - typically within 2–6 weeks depending on material type. We’ll tell you exactly how to prepare your home before installation day.

  •  Tear-Out, Prep & Installation

Our crews remove your existing flooring, prep the subfloor (sweeping, scraping, patching, leveling, moisture testing), and install your new floors. We keep the job site as clean as possible throughout the process and do a thorough cleanup when finished.

  • Satisfaction Confirmation

After installation, your salesperson follows up to confirm everything meets your expectations. If anything isn’t right, we come back to make it right. Your floors are backed by a 1-year workmanship warranty plus the manufacturer’s product warranty.

Getting Ready for Your Flooring Installation

A little preparation goes a long way toward a smooth installation day. Here’s what we recommend:

  • Clear the Work Area

Remove or empty furniture in the installation area. If you’ve opted for Floor Craft to move furniture, make sure it’s reasonably emptied first. Specialty items like grand pianos and pool tables need to be handled by outside movers before we arrive.

  • Handle Plumbing Disconnections

Floor Craft team will disconnect plumbing but customers need to contact a licensed plumber to reinstall any appliances with water or gas lines - toilets, dishwashers, washing machines, and similar fixtures. Floor Craft does not reconnect these.

  • Protect Your Belongings

Clear low-hanging curtains, electronic devices and cords, and anything fragile from the work area. There will be noise, dust, and activity throughout the installation.

  • Plan for Kids and Pets

Keep children and pets away from the installation area for their safety and to help the process go smoothly.

  • Ensure Access

Make sure installers can get in. If you won’t be home, coordinate entry details (door codes, garage codes, gate access) with your salesperson. Provide parking for 1–2 vehicles and space in the garage or driveway for cutting and staging materials.

  • Maintain Temperature

Keep your home at a stable indoor temperature before and during installation so materials can acclimate properly.

  • Stay Reachable

Be available by phone on installation day in case our crew needs to contact you about any questions or unexpected conditions.

  • Myth #1: “The product matters more than the installation.”

Reality: Installation quality has just as much impact on long-term performance as the product itself. It’s tempting to DIY or go with the lowest bidder, but poor installation leads to premature wear, gaps, squeaks, and warranty issues. The right installer protects your investment.

  • Myth #2: “Big-box installation is cheaper, and all installers are the same.”

Reality: Not all installers honor warranties or take responsibility for their workmanship. Big-box stores often outsource to rotating crews with limited accountability. When issues arise, you’re stuck between the store and their subcontractor. With Floor Craft, one team handles your product selection, installation, and any warranty concerns.

  • Myth #3: “The subfloor is probably fine as it is.”

Reality: Subfloor problems are one of the most common surprises during home remodels. Issues remain hidden until old flooring is removed. Insufficient leveling, moisture, or structural damage leads to squeaks, movement, cracking, and premature wear. New flooring will not hide imperfections underneath.

  • Myth #4: “All flooring works in every room.”

Reality: Each flooring type has strengths and weaknesses in different environments. Moisture levels, temperature swings, foot traffic, pets, and subfloor type all affect whether a product is right for a given space. A qualified installer will guide you to the right product for each room.

Frequently Asked Questions About Flooring Installation

How much does flooring installation cost in Colorado Springs?

It depends on the flooring type, room conditions, and project scope. Carpet is typically the most affordable, followed by sheet vinyl, LVP/laminate, and then hardwood/tile. Our free in-home estimate gives you a detailed, no-obligation quote. We also offer 12-month deferred interest financing through Synchrony.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. Our in-home measurement and estimate is completely free with no obligation. A salesperson visits your home, measures the space, recommends products, and provides full pricing. You decide if and when you’d like to move forward.

How long does flooring installation take?

Most carpet installations are completed in one day. Hard surface flooring (LVP, laminate, tile, hardwood) varies based on the size of the project — from one day to several days. Complex tile shower projects can take a week or more. Your salesperson will provide a time estimate specific to your job.

Do I need to move my furniture before installation?

Floor Craft will move most reasonably empty furniture and appliances. We do not move pool tables, grand pianos, mechanically adjustable beds, or highly fragile items. We also do not reconnect water or gas lines (toilets, dishwashers, washing machines) — please arrange a licensed plumber for those.

Do you remove old flooring?

Yes. We tear out and dispose of existing flooring material, provided asbestos is not present. Under Colorado law, residential projects that require removing more than 32 square feet of suspect material must undergo a third-party asbestos inspection first.

Can I buy flooring elsewhere and have Floor Craft install it?

The majority of the project materials need to be purchased through Floor Craft. This ensures we can guarantee product quality, compatibility, and warranty coverage throughout your project.

What flooring do you NOT install?

Floor Craft does not install site-finished hardwood, polished concrete, epoxy floors, or slabs. We also do not offer door-cutting for remodels where the finished floor height changes. If mold is discovered during a project, work is paused until remediation is completed.

Do you do commercial flooring installation?

Yes. Floor Craft handles commercial flooring projects including carpet, carpet tile, tile, LVP, and more. Contact us to discuss your commercial project requirements.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Colorado Springs and surrounding areas within a 16-mile radius, including Fountain, Fort Carson, Monument, Palmer Lake, Woodland Park, Black Forest, Manitou Springs, Security-Widefield, Falcon, and Peyton. Travel charges may apply for locations beyond this radius.
