Collection: Tile Grout & Color-Matched Caulk

Floor Craft carries access to grout and caulk that contractors and tile-setters reach for: Polyblend Plus sanded and non-sanded grout for standard residential tile, CEG Lite epoxy grout for commercial and high-moisture installs, and Prism Single Component and Ultimate Performance grout for jobs that need stain resistance and faster cure times. We also stock Polyblend Sanded Caulking, the color-matched caulk you need for tile-to-tub, tile-to-floor, and inside-corner joints where grout would crack.

Every Polyblend, Prism, and CEG grout color is available through our distributors (Bleached Wood, Warm Gray, Arctic White, Driftwood, Oyster Gray, etc.), if you need a specific color match call us at (719) 633-7724 or stop by our Colorado Springs showroom and we'll confirm in-stock inventory or special-order it. Most special orders arrive in 5–10 business days.

Choosing the Right Grout & Caulk for Your Tile Project

Three decisions drive your grout selection: joint width, location, and how much maintenance you want to deal with after install.

Joint width determines sanded vs. non-sanded. Polyblend Plus Non-Sanded Grout is for joints 1/8" or smaller, typical for polished stone, glass tile, and tight joints where sand grit would scratch the tile finish. Polyblend Plus Sanded Grout is for joints wider than 1/8" - most ceramic and porcelain floor tile installs. Using sanded grout in tight joints can scratch glossy tile; using unsanded grout in wide joints causes shrinkage cracks.

Location determines whether you need a high-performance grout. High-performance grouts are a smart choice for homeowners who want lower maintenance, better stain resistance, and longer-lasting performance in busy kitchens, bathrooms, and high-traffic areas. CEG Lite Commercial Epoxy Grout is fully waterproof and stain-proof, the right call for commercial kitchens, restaurant floors, hospital corridors, and any installation where chemical resistance matters. Prism Ultimate Performance Grout is a single-component cement-based grout with built-in stain and efflorescence resistance. A strong middle-ground choice for residential bathrooms, kitchens, and entryways without the cost or working-time challenges of full epoxy.

Caulk fills the joints where grout shouldn't go. Wherever tile meets a different surface (tub, vanity, countertop) or wherever you have an inside corner that's going to flex (wall-to-floor, wall-to-wall), use color-matched caulk instead of grout. Polyblend Sanded Caulking matches the Polyblend grout color line, same texture, same color, but flexible enough to handle the joint movement that would crack a grout line within a year.

Grout & Caulk FAQs

What's the difference between sanded and non-sanded grout?

Sanded grout has fine sand mixed in for strength and is used in joints wider than 1/8" - most ceramic and porcelain floor tile. Non-sanded grout is smoother and is used in joints 1/8" or smaller, typical for polished stone, glass tile, and metal tiles where sand grit would scratch the surface. Using the wrong type can cause cracks (sanded in narrow joints) or scratches (sanded in glossy tile).

Do you stock Polyblend grout in custom colors?

While we may not stock every Polyblend grout or caulk color in-store at all times, we often have popular colors available through showroom inventory or leftover project stock. Most additional colors can usually be ordered within 5–7 business days.

When should I use epoxy grout instead of regular cement grout?

Epoxy grout (CEG Lite) is the right choice when stain resistance, chemical resistance, or full waterproofing matters, commercial kitchens, restaurant floors, hospital corridors, swimming pools, and showers that get heavy use. Cement-based grouts (Polyblend, Prism) are easier to install and more affordable for typical residential bathrooms, kitchens, and floors. Epoxy has a shorter working time and a steeper learning curve, so first-time tile-setters often start with cement-based grout.

Why use grout caulk instead of grout in corners?

Inside corners and joints where tile meets a different surface (tub, countertop, wall-to-floor) flex over time as the building settles, the substrate moves with humidity, or the tub fills with water and shifts on its supports. Grout is rigid, it cracks under that flex within months. Polyblend Sanded Caulking is color-matched to the Polyblend grout line and stays flexible, so the joint stays sealed for years. Use grout in field-to-field tile joints; use color-matched caulk in every change-of-plane joint.
