Floor Craft Guidelines for Floor Covering Installation

Floor Craft has been in the floor covering and installation business in Colorado Springs since 1942. We bring over 100 years of combined product knowledge and installation expertise to you, the customer. This combined experience has helped us to establish guidelines that will allow your job to run smoothly.

ITEMS TO CONSIDER PRIOR TO FLOOR COVERING INSTALLATION

We understand that emergencies arise, but we ask that you please notify us as soon as possible should you need to reschedule your job and we will have the same consideration for you.

Most floor coverings require the rooms to be heated; therefore we ask that you make sure there is light and heat available at the job site.

Squeaks in the existing floor can be repaired prior to the installation. There is a fee for this service.
For a fee, we will move furniture or appliances out of the areas to receive floor covering. If you wish to move the furniture or appliances yourself, please be sure to clear out the closets also.

Customer to move all small nick knacks, etc, whether we move the furniture or you do.
All wiring (TV, VCR, and stereo, computers and burglar alarms) will need to be disconnected by the customer.
We will not disconnect or reconnect gas appliances.

Some homes have radiators or railings that are attached to the floor. Our mechanics will cut around these items unless otherwise specified.

ITEMS TO BE AWARE OF CONCERNING THE FLOOR COVERING INSTALLATION

We cannot be responsible for base boards that crack or break during the installation process. If base boards are removed and reinstalled, there will have to be paint touch-up done by the customer.

We cannot be responsible for small scratches that may appear on the base boards or walls due to the stiff backing on carpets and the extraction and installation of base boards.

Our mechanics will pick up as much as possible, but they will not vacuum the floors. When new floor covering is being installed, there is always the possibility that the doors may need to be cut. The cutting of doors is not part of our bid, unless specified. There is an extra charge to cut doors.

WARRANTY

All workmanship is guaranteed to be first quality. Installation is guaranteed for a period of one year. After that time period, a service charge will be assessed for any problems that occur. Floor Craft will call after 1 year to follow up on work and take care of any problems during the warranty period.

We require half down upon acceptance of your bid with the balance due on completion.
